And a real actor can read a recipe with a camera pointed at him, and make it scintillating. Roscoe Lee Browne. Gone but not forgotten. The Coen brothers have remade True Grit, which is a fine idea. They should try their hands at The Cowboys next. It’s a better story.

Hah! Six bucks on Amazon. The best stuff is always cheaper than dreck.

    Great movie; one I always give first to people who say they are not John Wayne fans. They always ask for a second movie.

    I am up in the air about the True Grit remake. Some of the stuff I’ve read has me worried they have screwed it up; time will tell.

  2. My favorite movie when I was a kid and still right up there at the top. My folks didn’t think much of this movie, but then again, they are socialists.

  3. That’s what remakes are for, taking something great and trashing it. The trashing is always done by fools who envy the talent and ability of the men who came before them.
