Didn’t I see this on the Ed Sullivan show, once? Maybe that was a Tommy Gun.
He actually has it wrong. It’s a perfect example of super cavitation. If you look close at the muzzle, you will see when the bullet exits the barrel, it forms a wave front which allows the bullet to travel faster. Same effect with the bolt as it ejects the casing and inserts a new bullet.
