The first 3:30 minutes tells the entire story of the forestry industry. Look at the background: you have the forest floor; then, ascending the slope, is a clearcut. Above that you have second growth, and above that older growth (third or more growth, or old growth).
Then, the rain-filled sky.
It is interesting to note that he had to spend so much money on goggles, ear muffs, hard hat and radio, that he couldn’t afford real springboards. Has to use branches instead. Damn shame.
We call those Alaska Cedar, BTW.
British Columbia… wouldn’t those kids be asking for hockey player autographs?
All the good hockey players come from Parry Sound.
