Joshua Slocum Approves
Zac Sunderland is the youngest person to sail alone around the world. Just 17 years old. First person that tells him to get a haircut and a job gets a beating from me.
The pirates let him pass. I bet ninjas, highwaymen, rogues, and various other marauders would have too. Professional courtesy.
Thanks, Pastor Jeff, for sending this along.

Ah yes. Sailing alone around the world. Which BSBoy wasn’t inspired by that book?
Hi Mr. Arthur- Joshua Slocum built his boat down the street from here in Fairhaven. Some of his stuff is displayed in the Millicent Library. They got handwritten notes from a speech Twain made there, too.
I bet I’m the only person that’s ever paid any attention to them. Everyone else is just checking out Deuce Bigalow VHS tapes.
How cool. (Both Slocum & Twain. Not Deuce Bigalow VHS tapes). Magnificent Library, too. The main branch of the Detroit Public Library is pretty amazing. Here’s a sample of one of the rooms: http://www.12kwedding.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/sneakpeek.jpg
DPL is very impressive.
I used to spend a lot of time in libraries. I like when they look like Pagan temples. They are. Or were, anyway.
